Pork and Sausage Patties
by Anthony Solimini
Ok, drop everything and make this dish immediately! I mean now! Not tomorrow, not later, but RIGHT NOW!
Mix one one pound of ground pork with one pound of ground SPICY Italian sausage
Add:
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 red onion copped finely
A tsp of Uncle A's Asian Seasoning
Two cloves of chopped FRESH garlic
1 tsp of hot chili oil (optional, if you’re boring!)
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Mix all that goodness together with your hands and really infuse all those flavors!
Mold them into small patties, and in a pan with a tbsp of olive oil, brown them until they’re about 50%-60% cooked. The smell will be overwhelming, so take a sip of wine to relax!
Then remove the patties, and place them on a plate with paper towels
In the SAME pan, add a clove of chopped garlic and two cans of your favorite chopped tomatoes. I use Pastene or Bianco Di Napoli (Thank you Ray Elicone for introducing me to them!)
Let the garlic cook for a couple of minutes stirring continuously and then add back all the sausages parties!
Let simmer on low for about an hour! I also add 2 tbsp of tomato paste if you a thicker sauce!
Eat with a fresh crunchy Italian bread and enjoy!
Keep laughing, people!
